Keep on Diving!03/26/2014 By Kristen Bannon Leave a Comment
So… who did you ask? Are you now accountable to someone for reading the Bible daily? Are you excited about doing it? What book of the Bible are you starting with?
Here are some facts about the Bible you may not know:
There are 66 Books in the Bible.
Paul wrote more books than any other author.
The longest book in the Bible is Psalms. (150 chapters)
The shortest book in the Bible is 2 John. (1 chapter)
The longest chapter is Psalm 119. (it has 176 verses)
Last week I recommended books of the Bible you might want to start with in regards to your daily readings. This week, I want to take a moment to expound upon that list and share short insights into other books you might like to choose from: Revelations is about the end times. Hebrews is about God’s grace. Colossians talks about Jesus as the very image of God and Ephesians is about the high goals God has for the church.
Your homework for this week is to keep on diving into Scripture by reading at least one chapter in the Bible each day and continuing to be accountable for it.
Next week is about hearing God’s voice as you read His Words.
