Blog:  Party Food!  Strawberry Cucumber Salsa:  Ingredients: 1 cup strawberries,  1 small cucumber, 1/4 small red onion,  1/2 small jalapeño, seeds removed,  1/2 bunch fresh cilantro,  Juice of 1 small lime,  Salt and pepper, to taste

 

  1.
Dice the strawberries and cucumber, removing the tops of the  strawberries. 
  2. Dice the red onion and jalapeño.  
  3. Chop the cilantro
  4. Place all of the ingredients into a large bowl. 
   5. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the salsa.  
   6. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
   7.  Serve with crackers.

Blog:  Party Food!  Mexican Dip:  You will need - 1 box (8oz) cream cheese, 1 (8oz) sour cream, 1 pkg. taco seasoning, cheese (finely shredded), sliced black olives, cherry tomatoes, scallions.  Directions:  Put cream cheese and sour cream in a bowl and mix with a mixer.  Then add taco seasoning and mix.  Put mixture into a dish and add cheese, black olives, tomatoes and scallions (green part) on top of mixture.  Serve with tortilla chips.

Blog:  Party Food!  Frank's RedHot Buffalo Chicken Dip.  Mix these ingredients in a deep dish until smooth:  1 pkg (8oz) softened cream cheese, 2 cans (12.5 oz each) of Premium Chunck Chicken Breast- drained, 1/2 cup of Frank's RedHot sauce, 1/2 cup blue cheese salad dressing,  1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese.  Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 20 min. or until hot and bubbling.  Can be served with:  tortilla chips, veggies, crackers...

New Blog:  Party Food!  Here are a few ideas of quick and easy food to make (or buy) to have at a party!  If you are doing lunch you can order pizzas for as little as $5.00 per pizza.  Both Little Caesars and Pizza Hut give specials if you order 10 or more pizzas.  Try to pre -order with the store about a week in advance.  You can also order chicken nuggets from Chick-Fil-A (about $44 for a medium size tray ... says it feeds 15 people with 120 nuggets, but not everyone will eat 8 nuggets).  Most people like pizza and nuggets.  Plus, it's easy to pick up and serve.

Blog:  Couponing...  I just got into couponing about a year ago.  My friend told me about True Couponing.  A woman decided to show others how to coupon.  You buy things only when they are on sale.  You buy extra and instead of hording it, you bless others with your overflow.  It only takes me about 15 min. a week to do my coupons and I usually save 40-50% off my grocery bill.  There are FREE workshops to learn how to do it.  The workshops are held at different churches.  Most of the couponing is for Florida/Georgia, but the Christian company is branching out to new areas all the time.  You can sign up for her amazing emails at www.truecouponing.com

Panera:  Half  Smoke Turkey Breast  Sandwich on Country Bread -  210 calories, Fat 1.5, Sodium 820, carbs 33, sugar 1
Dairy Queen:  Grilled Chicken Salad (no dressing) - 240 calories, 90 calories from fat, 5 saturated fat, 950 sodium, 12 carbs.,  sugar 7.     
      Just watch sodium in all of these.  The numbers are high!
